Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, Outside Salesman implements the company's marketing and sales strategies within its territory, develops and generates sales opportunities along with closing sales and servicing accounts, and performs related duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make Sales calls and develop a network of contacts that generate business opportunities specific to Manufacturers and Products represented.

• Obtain, review and analyze project requirements, specifications and plans.

• Prepare quotations and proposals per customers request and information.

• Provide full customer support in all after sales activities such as equipment commissioning, start-ups, warranties, shipping problems and errors etc..

• Coordinates communications between customers, design engineers, contractors, distributors, accounting, shipping, factories and other company team members.

• Achieves sales quotas and manages expenditures.

• Logs sales calls, prepare expense reports and monitor market pricing and trends.

• Maintains Job files and performs proposal follow-ups to secure orders.

• Regular punctuality, attendance and absence reporting in conformance with company policies.

• Teamwork and cooperation through effective communication with customers and team.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Able to communicate effectively and courteously, both verbally and in writing with customers and team.

• Passionate about Sales and providing outstanding customer service.

• Preferable 5+ years in pumps, valves, mechanical and electrical equipment technical Sales or related background.

• Thorough knowledge of sales principles and techniques.

• Proficient in computers and use of Microsoft 365, in addition to learning Factory equipment software selection programs.

• Experience in generating sales estimates and proposals.

• Able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.

• Ability to trouble-shoot and solve basic field operations associated with company products.

• Self motivated, well organized and positive attitude with responsible work ethic.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

• Able to travel on company business as required.

• $60K/year base pay + commission and potential for annual bonus.
