Full Time or Part Time Technicians needed due to increase in work load and expansion. We are a family-run O'hana style company looking for ideal Mechanics and/or Technicians who can demonstrate the ability to support and complement our current team. The technician will be assigned the full range of minor to major repairs to be completed accurately and in a timely manner. The ultimate goal is to enhance the overall work flow in the shop, complete repairs and maintenance accurately and in a timely manner, and ensure customer satisfaction. ( THIS IS A SUPERVISORY CLASS POSITION - you better be good at what you do)

You are expected to:

- Arrive promptly at the start of the work day (8am -6:00pm M-F; Saturdays optional)

- Address simple to advanced repairs that are related to preventive maintenance (e.g. changing out water pumps, brake systems, 02 sensors, etc.)

- Properly diagnose issues including: engine/transmission performance concerns, overheating, A/C problems, drivability and electrical issues, etc.

- Utilize the available technology to compile notes and observations made, over the course of the diagnosis and repair of the vehicle

- Maintain friendly, clear and constant communication with the service staff and co-technicians

- Complete all tasks with a positive attitude

Other qualifications we may require: ( for entry level techs, see below)

- ASE-certifications PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. (If not ASE-certified, a willingness to earn this certification is required. We assist you in your ASE goals and we pay for testing.)

- 3-5+ years of industry experience in the automotive field

- Certified to perform vehicle safety inspections in Hawaii, PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

- A valid HI driver's license with a decent abstract

- Must have own set of common automotive tools. (We provide for stationary shop equipment and more uncommon tools.)

- Proven ability to excel with a team and individually

- Literate with the use of computers and specific software (i.e. Mitchell, All-Data) and diagnostic scanners (Tech2, Launch, Autel, MB Star, ICOM, Ross-Tech), etc

- Able to multi-task efficiently and productively

- Verbal and written communication skills

- Proactive, friendly, and enthusiastic outlook to provide excellent service

You as an Entry Level Automotive Technician/Lube and Tire Technician will perform, under the supervision of the Shop Floor Chief, light maintenance and repairs to vehicles which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems. Other tasks will be assigned to you as you progress in knowledge and skillset.

Your specific duties will include:

- Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.

- Maintaining related records and documentation, including all preformed and recommended work on the repair order

- Operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner

- Performing other duties as assigned

Specific qualifications for the role include:

- Valid HI driver's license with a decent abstract

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

- Ability to bend, rotate, push and pull, and get in and out of vehicles
