Hawaii Organics Compost is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team at our Waikapū green waste and composting facility. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a sustainable, community-focused business, this is the job for you.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, excavators, grinders, and screeners
Perform loading, unloading, and movement of green waste, compost, and mulch
Assist in daily composting operations, including material processing and yard organization
Perform basic equipment maintenance and safety checks
Follow safety protocols and company environmental standards
Support yard customers with loading product as needed
Qualifications:
Experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment (required)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability
Experience in green waste, agriculture, construction, or composting a plus
