JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for welding various types of aluminum, plain steel, stainless steel.
Daily operations include but are not limited to:
Weld preparation and set-up according to job specifications, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions.
Responsible for equipment operation such as forklifts, grinders, metal breaks, hand tools, and polishing
Proficiency in standards for fabrication of products that meet Coast Guard requirements
Maintaining a safe work environment at all times
Daily and weekly cleaning/organizing of work area is required
REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:
Must have access to transportation to and from work
Accredited certification preferred, however not required
