Martin & MacArthur is currently seeking a Picture Framer needed for cutting and joining picture frames and fitting artwork and objects into a picture frame. This is a special opportunity to work with extraordinarily beautiful artwork and materials.
You will be responsible for following individual job specifications, completing work in a timely manner, and providing exceptional quality control of the finished product.
Responsibilities:
Mount artwork to frames-based specifications
Follow all established frame fitting guidelines
Clean glazing before and after fitting
Inspect overall quality of work for any defects
Attach backing paper, certificate of authenticity, and hanging hardware
Wrap completed art and attach appropriate labeling
Maintain and clean and organized work area
Education and Experience:
1+ years of previous experience in framing is preferred
Ability to work accurately with attention to instructions
General math skills for calculating measurements
Awareness of warehouse and production environment safety
May require lifting up to 30 lbs.
