Airport Industrial Park (AIPA) is an owner-developed and managed multi-level office/warehouse facility conveniently located next to the Honolulu International Airport. We are looking for an experienced Painter to support our on-site construction and facilities operations as we strive to provide our tenants with a quality experience. The right candidate for this position will be respectful, reliable, and detail oriented. The hourly range for this position is $25-$30/hour (determined on experience) and includes a generous benefits package. We are excited to discuss the many opportunities we have available for you at Airport Industrial Park!
Essential Skills:
Prepares painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
Mixes, matches, and applies paints and other finishes to various surfaces
Provides decorative and specialty finishes as the project requires
Moves furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
Tracks and maintains inventory of materials and time required for projects
Removes and replaces fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
Responsible for procuring paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
Cleans all supplies and replaces fixtures when project is complete
Effectively communicates with tenants to ensure work is completed
Organizes, cleans and secures jobsites and work areas as required
Assists with ongoing property maintenance with the Facilities Teams as assigned
Communicates with tenants, AIPA Management and Facilities Team personnel to address needs, concerns, and questions
Utilizes forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts to load and unload supplies as needed
Assists with painting inventory reviews
Maintains shop areas by keeping them clean and free of safety hazards
Maintains daily work, inventory, tools and equipment logs
Ability to work evening shifts, weekends and overtime and respond to after-hour emergencies as needed
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
2-5 years of current work experience in commercial painting
Ability to manage and run small crews/projects is a plus
Knowledge of safety procedures and practices for building construction
Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks without immediate supervision
Ability to effectively communicate with other team and management members
