Overview:The IT Citrix Engineer (Implementor) duties involve monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily remote access technologies. They are responsible for any issues related to applications, network, and storage related to the virtualization platform in concert with other IT Teams. They must be capable of managing performance and preventing and fixing any errors that occur within the Citrix service. They should work with the Operator team to deploy and maintain the applications for deployment via Citrix. The engineer is responsible for taking care of all the administration tools in the Citrix environment. He/she should have proficiency in ITIL and other IT operational frameworks. He/she should be able to provide all the necessary support for a Citrix Infrastructure as well as suggest changes for upgrades and improvements, in conjunction with the regional ArchitectsResponsibilities:Main responsibility is for Level 2 support for Citrix platform which includes CVAD, CVAD Service, Cloud Resource Domains, networking, applications, the database, storage, active directory, DHCP, DNS, Windows OS, etc.
First point of escalation from Level 1 to solve incidents and problems related to Citrix platform.
Apply, verify, and monitor changes required by the operations to comply with SLAs.
Responsible for any problems or performance issues in the Citrix server environment and its dependencies.
Help in organization and management of the business applications
Analyze input from the Operators and incidents received by the IT Helpdesk
Design and implement platform security
Taking part in upgrading and updating the system's applications, installing it with up to date descriptions
Providing technical assistance for all the servers, desktops, and services
Take full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop infrastructure
To keep themselves updated with the changing technologies.
Support and mentor the Operator staff
Work in conjunction with the regional Architects to maintain and improve the infrastructure
Qualifications:Work experience:Experience working interactively with Citrix virtualization environments
Experience on implementations with thin clients (Linux preferred) and Citrix (preferred)
Experience upgrading and patching Windows environments
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Networking and Linux for advanced troubleshooting.
Experience with Cloud services from CVAD + Azure, CVAD Service and/or DaaS solutions
Experience identifying risks due to changes within infrastructure.
English proficiency (written and spoken)
Ability to handle stressful situations and work under pressure
Able to work alone and as a team member.
Experience with multiple virtualization platforms such as VMware, Xenserver, Azure VMs, Nutanix AHV, etc
