This position will support one physician and in addition to typical MA and CNA duties will complete chart prep, assist patients with moving within the clinic, set up for procedures, schedule new patients and follow up visits and complete related paperwork, coordinate with pre-auth and dosimetry staff to schedule procedures, and provide comfort to patients who come for treatment. You will support licensed staff and provider(s) in providing an excellent patient experience by efficiently meeting the patient's needs. You will support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members. Medical Assistants work under the supervision of the physician and/or Advanced Practice Provider. Clinical oversight is provided by the RN Supervisor, Lead Nurse and/or SAMG Nursing Administration.MA Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or enrolled in an Associate Degree Medical Assistant Program and are eligible to take an approved credentialing exam (listed below), or have obtained credentialing from the Trinity approved list below plus one year of experience prior to hire.
MA License/Certification Requirement:
MA certification from one of the following required within 90 days of hire date:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
MA General Requirements:
Previous clinical experience preferred. Customer service oriented attitude/behavior.
About the CNA Position: The CNA supports clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination. The CNA performs various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, as those of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.CNA Education Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CNA License/Certification Requirement:
Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho is required.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
CNA General Requirement:
Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
