RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a PCB Layout Designer. The team sits in Boise, ID. You must be comfortable with working Mountain Standard Time hours.
Key Tasks:
PCB Layout Designer will design multi-layer printed circuit boards
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to understand system requirements, from both physical design limitations and performance requirements
Electrical and Mechanical design engineers:
New Product Intro Engineers (Design For Manufacturing & Test)
Parts Data Management leads:
Develop physical design implementations meeting stringent power and signal integrity requirements
Drive optimization of physical design and packaging
Import/export design info electronically between Mechanical and Electrical CAD tools
Provide implementation guidelines and feedback to silicon, package, and system design groups
Perform Design Rule Checks and fix issues to deliver high quality board designs
Create board dimensioning and fabrication documentation
Learn Company board processes:
Setting up and maintaining a design directory
Design Rule Check tools
Test point requirements
Cadence constraint editor
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills with Cadence Allegro (layout), Concept HDL (Schematic & constraints), Valor NPI:
Constrain circuits for differential pairs, length matching, impedance, etc.
Silkscreen generation, familiarity with Cadence auto-silk features
Planes, thieving
Board stackups
Run Design Rule Check tools
Skills in physical design of multi-layer boards (MLBs)
Skills in running PC's (Windows 10) and file management
Ability to generate Material List's
Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, and system integration
Strong physical understanding of power and signal integrity fundamentals
Skills in the physical design of high-speed signals at PCB level
