The Communications Center Supervisor manages the day to day responsibilities of the Communications Center with a focus on quality and customer service. This position is responsible for driving accountability by utilizing key performance indicators, ensuring policy and procedural adherence, identifying coaching and development opportunities, facilitate ongoing training and performance management, scheduling, staffing and ensuring safe in-flight communication and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Business or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required

NAACS Certified Flight Communicator Certificate preferred

Experience/Requirements:

Minimum four years as a Communication Specialist/Emergency Medical Services Dispatcher for police, fire or medical dispatch center

Experience with CAD systems and knowledge of two-way radio systems

Two years Managerial experience in EMS or related field strongly preferred

Exemplary customer service skills with an emphasis on quality

Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN’s service area maybe required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile in good repair. Must provide proof of auto insurance and meet Drivers Policy requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent grammar, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, develop and maintain working relationships

Must be solution oriented and able to successfully manage and adapt to varying business climates expeditiously

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure productivity standards are adhered to

Measure customer service, data entry and accuracy performance

Interpret and communicate departmental policies and procedures

Maintain schedule and staffing requirements

Ongoing training and performance management

Facilitate weekly Communications Center Management meeting

Recommend equipment, training and other needs

Monitor time and attendance

Create and communicate the schedule in a timely manner

Ensures consistent and effective use of two-way radio communication and assure radios are in proper working order.

Promote a cooperative working environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

Maintains knowledge of flight procedures including flight dispatching, mapping procedures, latitude and longitude computations, and radio communication
