Black Canyon Irrigation District is seeking two (2) hardworking, self-motivated individuals to fill a Ditch Rider position and an individual to join our Operations & Maintenance crew.
Ditch Rider Position
This is a full-time, year-round position. During the irrigation season, which is generally April thru mid-October, a company vehicle will be assigned to employee. This position requires the employee to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days-a-week during the irrigation season.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Certificate
Cell Phone
Have or obtain a Class A CDL with air brakes within the 1st 90 days.
Proximity: MUST live within Parma/Fruitland/Nyssa area.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with irrigation
Basic computer skills
Heavy equipment operator experience
Welding Experience
Mechanical Experience
Operations & Maintenance Position
This is a full-time position with an on call rotation schedule during the irrigation season.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Certificate
Ability to understand, follow and transmit oral and written instructions.
Heavy equipment operator experience
Have or obtain a Class A CDL with air brakes within the 1st 90 days.
Desirable Skills:
Welding Experience
Ability to inspect and repair a wide variety of mechanical and structural equipment to determine defects and perform needed repairs.
