Crewzers Base Camp is a privately owned, full-service fire/disaster response company, primarily serving the Western United States. We have been providing support and services to Government Agencies for over 20 years and have a reputation for high quality and a high level of service.

Tent installers must have a high-level adaptability and be able to handle adverse and challenging conditions. Down time includes cleaning and maintenance of equipment and deployments can require long hours with high levels of urgency to provide critical infrastructure to emergency response teams. Jobsites can be anywhere in the western United States. Personnel will travel to all jobsite locations in company provided transportation. You will be required to install base camp assets which typically consist of setting up or taking down tents, generators, air conditioning units, cabling, power boxes, lighting, tables, chairs, driving stakes, etc. This is a labor-intensive position that will include heavy lifting and loading up to 75 lbs. as well as other physical activities such as bending, twisting, stretching, walking and sitting (during driving). This position will require extended periods of travel and many 7-day work weeks during the busy season, with interval of more standard work days/weeks between deployments.

Despite the challenges, this job can be very rewarding for someone who can enjoy the opportunity to travel to unique and often remote areas and help be part of the solution to a disaster relief effort.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Base Camp Setup/Tear Down - setting up and taking down of all applicable base camp apparatus.

Loading/Unloading of trailers and trucks that contain required base camp equipment.

Setup/Tear Down of tents, usually 3-5 Staff Members setup/tear down at one time. You will be required to lift up to 75 pounds.

Collect and deliver supplies. For example, Staff Members will retrieve rags, towels, tools, cords, equipment parts, etc.

A properly certified Staff Member may sometimes operate forklifts to move materials around the jobsite.

Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and on time in accordance with company policies and procedures. This includes time cards, driver logs, vehicle assignment logs, accident and incident reports, etc.

Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed at all times, as well as the use of all PPE's as required.

All other duties as required or determined for each jobsite.

General Requirements

Effective communication skills to relate to management and clients.

Possession of valid identification and work-related documentation.

Ability to travel by land or air.

Ability to remain on deployments for extended periods of time if required.

Ability to work under adverse conditions and situations.

Any person required to drive a company vehicle shall have a clean driving record.

Physical abilities include standing, walking, sitting; ability to lift up to 75 lbs. pulling, pushing, bending and stooping.

Position can include working inside a warehouse when not on deployment.

When on deployment, Staff Members may be exposed to adverse weather conditions including wind, rain, sun, heat, cold, snow or ice.

-This is an emergency based position; each Staff Member is required to be available within one hour after an activation order has been issued. Each Staff Member must be prepared with an overnight bag, required medications, etc., for immediate deployment.
