Do you love kids? Do you love Jesus? Then we are looking for you! Kid's Stuff, a ministry of Nampa First UMC, is hiring the perfect full-time teacher. For the most part, you'll work with preschoolers but may spend some time with elementary-aged children as well. Along with our regular teaching staff, lead teacher, director, staff, and pastor, you'll join a culture of people that affirms and values each person that walks in our door.
OUR HOPES FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
1. A person who is highly dependable in terms of attendance and punctuality, after all, little kids are waiting for you.
2. A person, perhaps even without any experience, who is willing to learn with the right heart. We can provide training. The perfect candidate would be an educator with a degree.
3. A person with a high-energy level and the physical ability to interact with small children for most of the day. A bonus would be someone with experience in a daycare or preschool elsewhere.
4. A person proficient in English, though English does not need to be a first language. A bonus would be a bi-lingual teacher!
5. A person willing to become not just a teacher of social skills and preschool concepts, but a person willing to become a faith leader for children. You do not need to have an extensive church background, just a willingness to learn. A bonus would be someone with Christian Education experience.
6. A person with a clean criminal background or only minor offenses many years ago. Candidates with a felony, crimes against children, extensive drug/alcohol use, domestic violence, and other similar offenses will not be considered.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
1. Free or discounted childcare depending on the number of children and hours worked.
2. Hourly rate of $14-16 per hour depending on experience. A lead teacher role with a higher starting salary may be available to the right candidate with a degree in education.
3. Paid inservice/training days
4. Some paid holidays each year.
5. Three months of parental leave (mom or dad) after a meeting a minimum time of employment

6. An internship arrangement is possible for the right candidate.
HOURS
Predominantly Monday through Friday scheduled sometime between 6:30am and 5:30pm (roughly 8 hours per day).
Some Sunday morning leadership in KidMin will be required at times.
Occasional staff meetings, staff chapel, or special events may be required as well.
