We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team in the Biomonitoring Toxicity
Lab. This is an entry level laboratory position involving work with live organisms and
sample collection services around the Treasure Valley.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of effluent solutions for testing according to standard operating
procedures (SOPs) and test methods
Maintaining and observation of live organisms during tests as well as the care and
maintenance of organism stock cultures
Maintaining records of all quality activities as documented in SOPs and test
methods
Collecting samples from local clients within the Treasure Valley
Maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting scientific equipment related to your
duties
Reporting deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor
Improving laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis
Requirements:
Works well with others & able to work independently when required
Strong communication skills
Ability to accomplish a variety of tasks in a timely manner
Preferences:
Education: Coursework and/or field experience in the Biological Sciences or
Environmental Sciences
Experience: Basic computer skills and laboratory experience
Scheduling is as follows: Tuesday Saturday (8 - 5)
