Hiring for Housekeeping Supervisor at our West Yellowstone, Montana located 10 minutes from the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, from May-September 2019.

Housekeeping SupervisorÂ
Position reports to:ÂGeneral Manager
General description of purpose:
Overall management of housekeeping and laundry staff to provide guests with a consistently clean and wholesome environment while they stay with Under Canvas. Attend to any additional guest needs as required to ensure a relaxing and comfortable experience. Â

Employee's responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
Â
Departmental Objectives Set priorities and key objectives for housekeepers and assist laundry supervisor with objectives and priorities for laundry attendants. Ensure successful implementation and take corrective action when needed. Regularly inspect all areas under housekeeping care.
Â
Staff Relations Develop a high level of trust and mutual respect with housekeepers and laundry staff to reduce turnover and build engagement. Communicate effectively and constantly while building staff skill sets, knowledge, and abilities. Be visible and available to all housekeepers while maintaining an open-door policy. Counsel with housekeepers as needed to reduce internal conflict and promote well-being.

Staff Evaluation Conduct weekly one-on-one appraisals for housekeepers and laundry attendants, correcting and disciplining when needed. Institute a department policy of openness and positive reinforcement to foster an A+ workforce.

Leadership Ensure all company policies are known and followed. Train and reinforce each staff member on all needed processes. Present an accurate and effective image of successful leadership. Delegate appropriately.

A few examples of housekeeping responsibilities:
Acknowledge and greet all guests as you meet them in or around camp
Make sure the housekeeping carts are stocked at the beginning and end of each shift with appropriate items
Respect the guest's personal property and privacy
Return all guest items that have been left behind to Lost and Found
Report any items (furniture, lighting fixtures, etc.) that are broken or need to be exchanged
Collect and/or pick up trash
Accomplish all daily assigned tasks
Create and manage schedules for all housekeeping staff
Coordinate with camp management to ensure all guest needs are met
Meet with management regularly to align goals, report on progress, and receive instruction

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Constant bending, kneeling, standing and walking
Ability to continuously lift 25lbs
Ability to push a loaded cart tent to tent
Enjoy working for long periods of time outdoors in possibly uncomfortable temperatures and/or weather
Communicate well with other housekeepers, managers, and different departments
Experience in housekeeping
Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities
Ability to provide corrective action
Skillful at adaptation to change, personal improvement, and organization
Supervisory or management experience in housekeeping in a hospitality environment preferred
