Position Description:
-Part-time (15-25 hours/week) - morning availability required
-100% Remote/Work From Home (employees must supply their own computer and reliable internet connection)
-Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
Position Responsibilities:
-Create targeted media lists
-Draft and send pitches to media contacts
-Coordinate interviews with the media
-Media followup to push for secured coverage
-Monitor for secured coverage
-Provide daily updates to clients on strategy, actions, media interests and pending/secured coverage
-Take responsibility for generating coverage for clients
Position Qualifications:
-Degree and/or experience in public relations, journalism, communications or related fields
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-We work with a wide variety of clients, so candidates must be able to quickly develop a basic understanding of complex topics/industries (technology, finance, medical trades, cryptocurrency, real estate, construction, etc.)
-Ability to draft pitches and press releases in-line with client messaging
-Multi-tasking required to service multiple accounts simultaneously
-Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
-Able to think outside the box to connect client messaging with current events or timely issues
-Willing to be flexible and a desire to grow with the company
-Must be able to provide references from previous employers/clients
-Bonus - Experience navigating media database software (Cision, Meltwater or comparable databases)
