The Interventionist Specialist provides one on one or group therapy services with children and parents to learn intervention techniques that promote positive behaviors for children that have difficulty learning certain social or life skills, as well as documenting all therapy.

If you are 18 months or less from obtaining your degree, or are not fully certified, you may qualify to work and train under the approved Health & Welfare training program. You will work under our Clinical Supervisor/Intervention Professional to become a certified Interventionist Specialist, with opportunity for growth, advancement and success in this great career choice. Work with children ages 3 - 21 and are committed to helping individuals achieve their goals in an environment where they feel included, valued, and respected

Oversee the growth and development of individuals with developmental disabilities through data analysis, program planning and implementation

Provide guidance and support to skills trainers through mentoring, observation and feedback

Assist with Individual needs in times of crisis using de-escalation techniques and positive support.

Provide support when staffing issues occur

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field from a nationally accredited university or college

OR have a Related Degree with 24 credits in Human Services, both from a nationally accredited university or college.

AND Proof on one (1) year supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities

OR and IS, HI or BI Certification

OR can complete your degree and, or 24 credits within 18 months of hire AND complete (1) year of supervised experience working with children with developmental disabilities while working with our Clinical Supervisor

Be able to pass a Health & Welfare background check

Be able to become CPR/First Aid Certified

Have a current driver's license and insurance
