Bottling Line Mechanic

Rising Springs seeks a full-time Bottling Line Mechanic and Production Assistant to join our team in Pine, Idaho. 109 miles from Boise and 51 miles from Mountain Home, Pine is an Idaho gem – a destination retreat for outdoor enthusiasts with less than 50 full-time families living in the remote area.
Your Core Role:
- Fix and maintain the various machines at the bottling plant, including but not limited to CFT Packaging filler machine, capper, conveyor belts, labeling machines, and hoppers
- Assemble and install mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems, to include bottling production machinery, tooling and conveyor systems
- Responsible for maximizing efficiency of bottling line changeovers, adjustments, synchronization of equipment and equipment up-time
- Read and interpret manuals and schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical controls and PLC’s
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and maintains accurate and timely records
- Make recommendations for process and efficiency improvements and, as applicable, executes action plans for these improvements
- Follow general housekeeping procedures including organizing parts, machines and shop cleaning
- Communicate mechanical conditions of bottling equipment to the Plant Manager, schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance with bottling team
- Order equipment repair and spare parts as needed and maintain and organize shop
- Assist and lead in the coordination of projects, equipment modification and installation of line changes
- Train other team members in bottling line maintenance
- Assist bottling personnel during production
- Assist in routine pre-production activities including CIP, system sanitization, etc.
- Assist with bottling production line operations, filler machine operations and operate fork lift
- Participate in safety program and assist in safety training for machine operators
- Assist with department and bottling plant clean up
Qualifications
- 3+ years advanced experience working directly in the repair, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and efficiency maximization of bottling line mechanical and electrical equipment
- Formal factory training on bottling line equipment preferred
- Experience in machine blueprint reading, as well as electrical schematics reading
- Experience in oxyacetylene, arc welding, plumbing, operating machine shop equipment and/or other industrial trade skills
- High School diploma or equivalent such as GED
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills, and be able to count, add and subtract accurately
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lift and carry 70 pounds

Compensation:
Annual salary DOE. This position is full-time and benefited after 30 working days. Benefits include 90% company paid premium of medical with HSA, 100% company paid dental, vision, short term / long term disability, $50k basic life, AD&D and a 401K (employee-only contributions).
