Project Overview:

Apex Systems in Boise is looking for an IT System Administrator to implement and maintain various multi-platform applications within the Retail systems.

This is a long term contract that will go to the end of 2022 with opportunity to go into 2023.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead technical support team
• Oversee the entire IT System for all Retail locations including software and hardware performance and capability, maintenance and documentation, integration and installation, and back-up and recovery.
• Strong POS knowledge and POS process knowledge
• Develop and implement data, retail systems, communications and computer security policies and procedures
• Document and outline steps and procedures for various system upgrades
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for system services and maintenance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as Systems Administration in Retail industry.

• 5+ years supporting Point Of Sale Systems including but not limited to configuration changes to POS applications and database queries.
• Must have Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or combination of education and work experience OR Microsoft Certification(s) - current/up to date.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, including but not limited to Windows Server 2003 - 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows XP - 10, core Windows Server Applications.
• Advanced knowledge of MS SQL, writing SQL queries and advance SQL queries, and MS SQL SSRS.
• Ability to read C# code and XML.
• Able to work with PowerShell scripting.
