To reach a broad range of students, CWI encourages exploring alternative teaching styles and methods. Courses will be taught in traditional classroom settings, in computer-mediated classrooms, and over the internet. This position includes classes taught in the evenings/weekends and when necessary, at the College’s off campus centers. Essential Functions: Teaches / assists with teaching approved Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing (AICC) curriculum, as assigned; experience/specialization in one or more of these courses is desired: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Python Programming and the Cloud Linux for Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Python for Artificial Intelligence Math for Artificial Intelligence (Linear Algebra equivalent) Database, Data Mining, and Big Data Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence for Business Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing Computer Vision Natural Language Processing Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity Teaches contracted credit load of courses in accordance with the descriptions published in the CWI catalog Utilizes outcomes assessment measures Participates in instructional evaluation processes Meets all scheduled classes promptly with any deviation being filed promptly and accurately through the appropriate channels Monitors student placement in courses and student progress; maintains accurate records Demonstrates sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of community college students Develop daily lesson plans and teaching aids, using appropriate CWI-specified instructional technology Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process Assess student outcomes and provide regular, accurate, and timely feedback to students Maintain expertise in subject area and suggest improvements in curriculum design, as needed Participate in Departmental and College meetings as prescribed by supervisor Conveys by words and action the values expected by CWI Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of industry (AI, Cloud, or Programming related to AI and/or Cloud) experience acquired by full-time, successful employment in applicable field preferred. Degree equivalencies can be made. Current industry credentials and experience is priority. Teaching experience, especially at community college level preferred, but not required. CWI can develop the successful candidate as an Instructor.
