The full Pay Range is $86,100.00 - $160,300.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here .IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE :Your role as the Senior Data Quality Analyst proactively executes the standards, guidelines, and processes of the Data Governance Office (DGO) to ensure the quality of BECU (Boeing Employees Credit Union) data. Your impact will be seen in assisting with the creation of data profiling methods and the generation of enterprise data asset profiles to extract insights about the current state of data quality. Based on the insights gained, you will help build data quality metrics, implement ongoing monitoring, and define requirements to improve data quality. Additionally, you will actively administer the functionality of data governance and data quality tools for BECU, ensuring that your contributions are valued, and your growth is continually fostered. WHAT YOU'LL DO :
Create data profiling methods: Develop profiling methods applicable to a variety of data structures, which can be used by data analysts, stewards, and custodians for self-service data profiling.
Build enterprise data asset profiles: Generate data profiles for enterprise data assets as part of DGO oversight activities or assigned projects and identify insights from the profiles to review with stakeholders.
Maintain data quality metrics: Establish and maintain data quality metrics for enterprise data assets based on business rules coordinated by the Data Governance team.
Monitor data quality: Create and maintain data quality monitoring for identified data quality metrics, working closely with data stewards to determine the best frequency for measuring quality.
Administer DGO dashboard: Maintain a centralized DGO dashboard summarizing the status of data governance and data quality for enterprise data assets.
Design data cleansing procedures: Collaborate with business units, functional areas, and the Technology department to design data cleansing procedures and scripts to ensure the implementation of data quality issues in source systems.
Demonstrate DGO operating model: Present the DGO operating model to data stewards and the data community, enabling them to implement data quality practices in a self-service manner.
Administer data governance and data quality tools: Actively administer the functionality of data governance and data quality tools, delivering training and addressing questions from data stewards regarding tool functionality and usage.
Partner with vendors and Technology department: Collaborate with vendors and the Technology department to build source system integrations, ensure timely implementation of patches and upgrades, coordinate system and user-acceptance testing, and drive the resolution of system issues for DGO-owned platforms.
Design processes and procedures: Participate in designing processes and procedures necessary to implement the standards and guidelines. This is not just about ticking off tasks on a list. QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Five years of data quality experience and/or data management. Data management experience must demonstrate application of data quality principles. Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
Minimum three years of experience using end user data flow and reporting tools such as SAS, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, and Alteryx required.
Minimum of three years utilizing SQL and/or Python to query, profile, and transform data across structured and semi-structured datasets required.
Minimum of five years of data quality experience and/or data management. Data management experience must demonstrate application of data quality principles.
Effective verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
Demonstrated experience with project management practices.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a proven record of accomplishment in gathering and documenting comprehensive business requirements in a highly regulated environment.
Desired Qualifications :
Advanced degree in related field.
Experience in the financial services industry.
One year of building custom data stores in support of data curation or reporting, SQL Server and Azure data stores preferred.
One year of data quality tool (e.g., Informatica Data Quality) experience preferred.
Familiarity with developing and performing data manipulation, data cleansing, data analysis, and data anomalies detection preferred.
