About this position
PPGNHIs Education team is seeking a dynamic Community Outreach Educator for Blaine County!
This position is full time (37.5 hours per week) and is based in Hailey, ID.
The ideal candidate for this position loves working with youth, has experience working with Blaine County/Wood River Valley community partners, models diversity awareness, and has a strong passion for social justice.
What youll be doing
Facilitating of a Teen Council, which includes recruiting, training and supporting 10 18 teens from high schools.
Delivering high quality, medically accurate education programs to various community organizations
Customizing or developing lesson plans and curricula when appropriate.
Assuming responsibly for implementing sexual health curriculum and facilitating evidence based programs.
Conducting outreach to expand services in designated service area and assists community organizations in selecting and delivering appropriate programs.
Facilitating community advisory and/or youth advisory groups as required by grants or projects

Youll need to have:
BA/BS in related field
Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship building skills
Familiarity with communities in Blaine County
Minimum of two years of experience as an educator, trainer, or in community service.
Reliable transportation travel within Blaine County is required
Preferred
Strongly preferred - Bi-lingual Spanish/English
Strongly preferred Strong connections and familiarity with the Blaine County/Wood River Valley area
Two years of experience facilitating youth groups preferred
Family planning/ sexual health education experience
