We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience in the residential and student property management industry. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs in apartments and common areas of the property, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.

Part Time, Possibly Full Time

$12.00-$13.00 per hour DOE

Required Qualifications

o High School Graduate or equivalent

o Experience in apartment community maintenance, or extensive knowledge of basic repairs common to most households.

o Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.

o Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

o Ability to work independently.

o Experience working with confidential information.

o Experience providing excellent customer service to a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities and duties:

o Daily inspection of building and grounds looking for hazards, items that are in need of repair and potential preventative maintenance items.

o Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner,

o Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.

o Follow all safety procedures in place at the property.

o Be available for after hours and weekend emergencies on an on call basis.

o Periodic maintenance of filters (as directed by manufacturer). Annual check of smoke detectors, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers. Follow preventative maintenance procedures as outlined for the property.

o Repair vacant apartments to get them rent ready for new applicants. A seven day turnaround should be the goal for unit turns.

o Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

o Be prepared to assist or cover for cleaning staff.
