Ajinomoto Foods North America Maintenance Technician FULL-TIME $20/hr 301 W 3rd St, Toluca, IL 61369 POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will perform various maintenance activities while also monitoring, operating and maintaining the facility and its utilities. Essential Functions include performing maintenance tasks on assigned equipment, setting up and testing equipment for startup, and inspecting, lubricating and making necessary repairs to equipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ï· Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts ï· Apply knowledge of NH3 systems to make system repairs ï· Understand and utilize Process Safety Management (PSM) processes ï· Make repairs on industrial electrical systems ï· Inspect, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate action to prevent component failure ï· Collaborate within the Maintenance Department to schedule and develop routine and preventative maintenance schedules ï· Weld and fabricate machinery ï· Assist Team Leaders and Machine Operators in efficient line start up and equipment adjustments ï· Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed to include carpentry, plumbing, and painting ï· Qualified candidate will have effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors and department managers. ï· Work under the direction of the shift Team Leader and openly communicate unresolved work orders that require assistance ï· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, GMPs, and SOPs ï· Work safely and promote a safe work environment ï· Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS ï· High school diploma or GED required.
