Exciting opportunity available for a dynamic individual to fill the position of Office & Business Development Assistant. The ideal candidate for this multi-faceted role will possess excellent organizational, verbal and written skills and enjoys interaction with the public. They will be responsible for generating and qualifying new accounts and working closely with the office team to ensure the smooth operation of administrative functions to foster growth and support our customer-centric culture. Must be intrinsically motivated and be comfortable working autonomously while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Full time (weekly daytime) hours available.
Base hourly rate plus bonuses based on production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)
Research prospects and identify stakeholders to generate interest and create rapport
Contact potential customers through e-mail, personal visits, mailers and other opportunities.
Proactively seek new business opportunities in defined markets
Maintain and organize pipeline and activity records using proprietary ticket system
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns to generate sales opportunities
Collaborate and gather information to use when contacting customers or scheduling face to face meetings
Handle incoming calls from current and future customers and assist as appropriate
Maintain inventory system
AR/AP duties as assigned
Required Competencies/Skills
Ability and willingness to work independently.
Speak and write clearly and articulately. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication, including e-mail.
Excellent phone and email etiquette
Ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information about our services. Ability to translate that information into specific benefits for our prospects
Ability to manage abundance of information and keep it organized
Ability to play the role of several positions, marketing, sales, service, etc.
Maintain a courteous and professional manner when dealing with internal and external customers and vendors
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Being receptive to feedback, willingness to learn, and embrace continuous improvement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a quick study on new programs.
Must have own vehicle with a valid drivers license and a clean driving record with no moving violations for the past 5 years.
Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
Professional demeanor and appearance a must.
Previous sales/business development experience a plus.
Customer service experience required.
Compensation Package
Base hourly rate will be determined by qualifications. Full time employees will receive up to one week accrued sick time per year. Compensation package includes a bonus structure based on production.
