Community Montessori School is seeking a Montessori certified Lead Toddler Teacher/Director Qualified person for our program in Oak Park IL. The hourly wage is based on experience. Current hours are 40 + weekly Monday through Friday. All interested candidates will have a minimum of two years college with 24 credit hours of Early Childhood Education and a Montessori certificate. 2 plus years of experience working in a Lead Montessori teacher is a plus.
Candidates must provide an official transcript, undergo a background check, and provide 3 references per DCFS requirements. Current CPR/First Aid certification a plus. Please email your resume for consideration of this job opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Lead teacher in working with the children. Engage children in the Montessori program and work on ways to enhance their experience. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds. Direct classroom and an assistant with the Montessori curriculum, Diapering and toilet training.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous experience as a Montessori toddler teacher in a Montessori environment. Previous experience and desire working with this age group of children is preferred. Be energetic and quick thinking when leading or assisting with activities. Candidate needs to be Director Qualified under Day Care Center rules per DCFS. Candidate should have excellent communication skills. Candidate needs to be a team player and be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
