We are currently looking for a Senior Backend and DevOps Engineer to be part of our Integrations team. The Integrations team builds systems to speed up and reduce cost of large data migrations during onboarding of new clients.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and build APIsWork with internal and external data sources and APIsDesign and setup scalable, cost effective infrastructureCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresUnit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityWork on bug fixing and improving system performance and reliabilityMonitor and support applications deployed across multiple regions of the globeContinuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiencyMinimum QualificationsBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related experienceProven backend development as a producer and consumer of web service APIsStrong understanding of common integration patternsStrong understanding of cloud computing services, preferably with AWSProficiency in coding with Java, Javascript, Python, Scala of another modern programming languageStrong DevOps experience, preferably with AWSExperience working with multiple common data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)Experience working with multiple common web service architectures (REST, SOAP, RPC)Experience with relational and NoSQL databasesWorking knowledge of the backend integration landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologiesSolid understanding of version control principles.Solid understanding of the agile software development methodologiesPreferred QualificationsExperience building applications and systems using serverless components.Experience with one or more of the popular ESB frameworks.Experience building ETL services.Experience working with message queueing services.
