Director – Procurement Management

The RoleAs part of our clean energy business growth across the USA, we are searching for a procurement management professional with experience in onshore wind, utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and/or transmission and distribution. This role requires the individual to be local to Chicago, IL.Role & ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Contracts ManagementPlanning, implementation and execution of procurement and tender strategies for major project packagesLead the complete procurement process including RFIs, RFPs, proposal evaluation, recommendation of award and contract finalizationDraft and negotiate contracts including turbine supply, service, consultancy, supply and installation contractsLead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise while ensuring compliance with client governance and approval proceduresMaximize value in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing riskActively participate in vendor relationship management and market intelligenceDrafting and negotiation of main contracts throughout the lifecycle of project development and executionWork alongside the project management team to ensure successful project delivery, balancing risk with commercially and contractually viable solutionsMaintain continuous oversight of critical milestones, rights and obligations according to contractDirect and process changes, variations and claims in compliance with client commercial interestsProvide interpretation of contracts, organize correspondence with contracting parties and monitor fulfilment of obligationsManage commercial relationships with contractors, ensuring issues are dealt with proactivelyDrive governance processes and present to stakeholders and decision bodies including Steering CommitteesSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Who We're Looking ForWe are seeking passionate and motivated procurement and contracts management professionals aligned to our vision and excited by the opportunities of working in a rapidly expanding international business.
