This position is centered around supporting a primary oncologist’s clinic to facilitate coordination of patient care during and between clinic visits. Our Nurse Clinicians work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of an MD, APP, Pharmacist, infusion nurses and clinical research team. Primary responsibilities center around assisting patients in navigating complex treatment schedules, disease education, symptom management and monitoring.
Day to day activity is split between patient-facing clinic facilitation (1-2 days) and in-office patient triaging and coordinating (2-3), for a total of four 10 hour shifts per week.This role relies heavily on strong communication and people skills as the RN works with members of the oncology team and the greater NM network to ensure that our patients’ care is executed thoroughly and with time sensitivity. Our patient population is complex and high acuity, requiring sharp assessment skills in order to identify toxicities in early stages and determine if a patient is safe to remain at home or in need of more urgent evaluation. We are a collaborative team looking for an eager learner with either prior oncology experience, or an interest in learning the specialty from world-renowned clinicians.

Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment which will require exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative units. This position will utilize nursing skills to perform patient assessments via phone or in person and implement nursing interventions; as such the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity is required when resolving patient care issues.
