Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in CHICAGO, Illinois. The individual will operate within the legal industry, providing support for attorneys and managing various legal tasks. The role will involve heavy litigation, scheduling duties, transcribing medical summaries, and assisting with trial preparation.Responsibilities: Provide extensive litigation support to attorneys, facilitating efficient case progression. Manage scheduling tasks effectively, ensuring all appointments, meetings, and deadlines are organized and communicated. Conduct e-filing tasks, ensuring all legal documents are filed electronically in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with trial preparation duties, contributing to the successful organization of trials. Transcribe medical summaries, ensuring all information is accurate and clearly presented. Utilize skills in Civil Litigation and Trial Preparation to support case progression. Employ knowledge and experience in Briefing and Calendar Management to maintain organized and efficient operations. Assist with multiple trials as required, demonstrating adaptability and a strong work ethic. Handle tasks related to Medical Records, ensuring all data is accurate, updated, and properly stored. Utilize Civil Litigation Experience to effectively contribute to the handling of civil cases. Requirements Possession of a Paralegal certification or degree Proven experience in civil litigation and trial preparation Comprehensive understanding and experience with e-Filing systems Proficient in briefing and summarizing legal documents Ability to manage calendars and coordinate meetings, court dates, and deadlines Experience in handling and organizing medical records in a legal context Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team High level of professionalism and confidentiality Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and protocols Strong research skills and attention to detail.
