Job description
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Platforms & Engineering team. We are in the process of creating a new platform that will transform the way our company operates. This is an opportunity to join a team that will be making a seismic impact on not only our company but the way consumers search, book, and manage their group travel. As part of our Platforms and Engineering team, you will help build this new technology from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Platforms & Engineering Leader you will analyze requirements and collaborate with the development team to design scalable, secure, and robust software. We need a self-motivated, results-driven professional with an appreciation for product management and development. Responsibilities:

• Own a piece of the roadmap (i.e. a product or offering) including timeline, resources, and collaborating with engineering to remove blockers.

• Establish metrics and tracking to monitor and guide priorities.

• Develop a deep understanding of business objectives and user feedback.

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and incorporate into feature development and/or removing obstacles for the team

• Show developed communication skills such as project status updates, collaboration with peers across the business, release communications, and training.

• Serve as the Product Owner in agile ceremonies such as grooming and sprint planning.

• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements.

• Write comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in product management in a technology-driven industry.

• Time management and juggling multiple projects is your forte

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of responsiveness

• Bachelor’s Degree in either management information systems, or computer science.

• 2+ Years experience with Scrum/Agile

• Comfortable with Jira

• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an applicable amount of relevant work experience will be considered.

• Experience working with offshore team members.

• Professional Scrum Product Owner certification.

Starting Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
