Job Description:Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics and modeling projects. Responsible for developing new models, analytic processes or systems approaches. Creates documentation for all activities and works with Technology staff in design of any system to run models developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and a broad knowledge of financial markets and products.Bank of America Global Market Risk Analytics organization has an opportunity for a Quantitative Finance Analyst position within its Market Risk Analytics group, which is responsible for providing quantitative modelling and analytics support to Global Market Risk Management and Enterprise Capital Management. The candidate is expected, but not limited to performing the following tasks:
Develop quantitative risk models, analytics and applications in support of market risk assessment and regulatory capital calculation
Work with Model Risk Management and Market Risk Management on model enhancement, performance testing and documentation to remediate internal and external requirements
Conduct analysis and verification on market data, risk metrics and P&L time series
Partner with various internal groups, including Capital, Risk, Technology and Model Risk Management to provide model transparency and enhance analytics capability
Prepare developmental evidence and document to support internal and external exams
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related field and experience of working in quantitative modelling on fixed income and / or commodity products on behalf of a global financial institution.
Should include experience in the following areas: Working knowledge of risk or pricing models for fixed income or commodity products; Good at using Python (or other programming language) to write reusable and testable code to develop tools, and improve process efficiency for reporting and calculation automation.
Understanding of regulatory capital and risk management framework and stress testing requirement.
Good written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with personnel across areas and regions
Ability to multitask with excellent time management skills
Sense of focus and rigor in the completion of deliverable
