Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Application Development & Management, reviews business requirements, creates technical requirements, and develops/implements technical Microsoft SharePoint solutions for all user departments/agencies under the President. Maintains SharePoint sites, employs industry-standard processes to test and implement secure, defect-free, high quality software applications that meet system load, system performance and system reliability requirements. Functions as a expert resource for the Bureau of Technology staff and departmental/agency super-users for SharePoint. Monitors and ensures SharePoint is fully optimized, and reviews and manages multiple projects as directed. Serves as a liaison to communicate with management, project leaders and business analysts relating to area of assignment. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICSThorough knowledge of SharePoint Architecture, ability to lead SharePoint projects including both new development and support/maintenance of existing SharePoint solutions. Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio as a database management and analysis tool. Knowledge of PowerShell for SharePoint management and administration. Skill developing and configuring SharePoint Feature elements at the site collection and farm level. Skill in User Interface design and the ability to use a software development lifecycle process to design, build and implement high quality solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint. Strong analytical skills coupled with strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with users, department personnel to share knowledge and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to clearly communicate technology concepts/detail-specific logistics to non-technical audiences.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree

    is required.
  • Three (3) years of full-time work experience developing Microsoft SharePoint solutions

    is required.
  • Must work on call 24/7 including weekends and holidays as assigned

    is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Science or Management Information Systems.
  • Experience developing solutions with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (C#, ASP.NET and/or .NET Frameworks).
  • Experience developing databases with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience managing and delivering solutions with SharePoint Online (Office 365 environment).
  • Experience with HTML5, XML, JavaScript, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), jQuery and Web Services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate.
