The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should excel at all levels of analysis. This full-time position includes solid compensation, good benefits, and the possibility to grow.Major responsibilities
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Project accounting experience desired
Command of construction project accounting
Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skilled at time management
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
High attention to detail
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
