Medline is looking for a self-motivated business systems analyst with high learning agility and warehouse systems experience. This individual will leverage strong communication skills and technical expertise to deliver robust solutions across the scope of our WMS/Logistics landscape. This role requires collaboration with Software developers, business partners, Operations and IT leaders, and end-users. Come join this fast-paced, growing team and make healthcare run better.
(though we are currenlty working remote due to Covid, this position will be required to be based in a Medline facility once we return to the office. This individual will be able to work out of any of Medline's US facililties)

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise with the warehouse management system (WMS) and warehouse automation solutions.
  • Produce innovative options for addressing the requests at hand and recommend the best course of action based on requirements coverage and effort required.
  • Perform functional analysis for designing solutions, evaluating options that include, but are not limited to: new software development, configuration of existing systems, business process redesign, new package/system evaluation or a combination of these options.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with users and management to determine business needs and translate them to system requirements.
  • Serve as point person for addressing issues and enhancements related to the specific product and functional area.
  • Deliver software requirements to developers and serve as the developers point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process.
  • Manage implementation plans for releasing system enhancements or new Software solutions to production
  • Drive process improvement within the team as we continue to grow with agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Focus on quality during all phases of Software development, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and implementation.

    Basic Qualifications
    • 5+ years of business systems analyst experience and working with cross-functional teams
    • 3+ years of experience working with logistics/WMS systems
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain/Logistics, or similar.
    • High learning agility. Position will often require learning new areas of business and new software.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience designing and implementing warehouse automation such as goods-to-person or sortation systems
    • Experience designing and implementing user-facing mobile applications
    • Experience in an operations/distribution environment. Engineering or Systems experience.
    • Curiosity to dig into how systems work and be hands on throughout the development life-cycle
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in reading and/or writing SQL
    • Experience with DevOps tools (ie. Jira, Zephyr, Splunk, SonarQube, etc)
