The Technology Analyst liaises with stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities and recommends solutions to enable the organization to meet its goals. The Technology Analyst builds exceptional relationships with business partners and Technology & Operations colleagues and is accountable for the requirement, coordination with developers and QA performing SIT testing, coordination with business conducting UAT testing, analysis, design, development, implementation and support of applications in support of the Lines of Business strategies.As a Technology Analyst, here’s what you will do:

Participates in requirements gathering sessions with project stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis models via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs.

Creates documentation to ensure the supportability of their analysis.

Works with project stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis models via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs.

Creates a requirements management plan according to the recommended practices of the organization so that activities and milestones of the requirements management team can be measured against the goals of the plan.

Provides clarification of requirements to other project team members to assist them in the creation of their specific project deliverables

Plans and conducts third-party software analysis as needed for inclusion in the project solution.

Participates in reviews or inspections, in collaboration with the project team, to ensure the quality of work products.

Understands and communicates technical and architectural complexities of a technical solution so that project stakeholders can easily understand.

Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Prepares and provides required reports and/or graphs for tracking, trending and other reporting requirements

Recommends approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes in the organization to improve overall efficiency

Supports the execution of key improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to deliver positive financial and customer outcomes.

Identifies opportunities to strengthen the capability at BMO, such as: sharing expertise to promote technical development, mentoring employees, building communities of practice and networks across technology.

You’re Tech Savvy, pursuing post-secondary education in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Math, and available for a Summer 2020 work term

You have basic knowledge of the project management processes, documentation, or audit and signoff authorities

You have a basic understanding of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and can apply principles from the “analysis” phases of the SDLC.

You like to solve complex problems. Analytical skills, with the ability to organize and disseminate large amounts of information with accuracy is important.

You’re a continuous learner. You’re alert to new data visualization and analytics tools, techniques, and trends, and think about new ways to apply them.

You can demonstrate strong writing and documentation skills.

You possess a high level knowledge of the ITIL Processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
