What You’ll Do:
  • Client Service Delivery
  • Consulting with clients at all levels including C-Level
  • Work closely with the Framework IT Executive management to improve internal processes and service delivery
  • Oversee lower tier systems and/or cloud projects and act as Subject Matter Expert for escalations in those projects
  • Tier 3 escalations for Service Desk Issues and provide Root Cause Analysis
  • Provide professional client communication
  • Coaching and training of Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers, acting and engaging as a mentor
  • Scope Windows systems, VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, Microsoft Office 365, other public & Private Cloud projects, and training Tier 2 engineers on how to create and manage SOW’s as well
  • Work directly with the consulting team to attend client-facing, and internal calls to provide the technical guidance and expertise expected from a Tier 3 architect-level.
  • Lead and deliver project work (implementations, upgrades, migrations) on or under budget, if possible, based on accurate scoping
  • Help clients understand technology investment needs through the Sales and Consulting teams
  • Attend and contribute to Sales to Service internal calls prior to new client onboarding
  • Advanced review of high level technical feedback from assessment reports to ensure supportability of client technology
  • Design, Implement, and Manage client on-premise systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Document Framework Technology Best Practices and Processes
  • Create and maintain documentation, ticket information, and time tracking in PSA (ConnectWise)
  • Travel required in the Chicagoland area as needed, typically doesn’t exceed 20%
  • Travel required nationwide as needed, typically doesn’t exceed 5%

What You Possess:
  • Education: 4 year Bachelor's Degree with 6 years' experience preferred, or 8+ years' experience
  • Organized: Detail-oriented, disciplined, and methodical.
  • Analytical: Solutions-oriented, ability to quickly evaluate information to identify and resolve problems.
  • Background in either Managed Services, Cloud or Server Engineering or Architecture
  • Architect level experience in designing on-premises and cloud environments in VMWare, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Auvik, Connectwise Manage, and Connectwise Automate as well as working for a Managed Services Provider in the past a plus
  • Advanced experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies – including iSCSI, NFS, and DAS
  • Advanced experience with DFS, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery
  • Architect level experience in Active Directory Domain Services, Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Domain Services, and AD/AAD/AADDS infrastructure and related services
  • Architect level experience for virtualization technologies and related concepts including containers and other advanced server platform features
  • Architect level experience with DR/BCP related initiatives and rollouts for small to medium sized companies across a multitude of technology bases
  • Architect level experience in enterprise messaging platforms and related concepts – including Exchange on-premises (2016 – 2019), Exchange Online, MSFT Teams, Cloud PBX/Voice, and other related services
  • Advanced experience with Google’s platform offerings and services, including migrations to and from Google and Microsoft public cloud tenants
  • Primarily G-Suite, experience with Google Cloud Platform a plus
  • Ability to develop technical standards for internal and client engagements
  • Advanced environment troubleshooting – perform client engagements to assess business problems related to currently deployed technology
  • Develop quarterly technical training sessions for internal Tier 1, 2, and 3 staff on emerging technology and Framework support offerings
  • Develop, vet, and communicate policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures upon new technology rollouts. Internal staff and clients where applicable
  • Assessments to engage with client business stakeholders to understand process inefficiencies and develop solutions to solve ongoing business problems
  • Research and evaluate new technology for the development of the FWIT portfolio and customer support operations
  • Ability to assess technologies and determine how to scale & optimize within overreaching limitations and budgetary constraints
