Advocate Construction is looking for a qualified, experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our construction operations. Our specialization is residential home roofing, siding, and gutter storm restoration.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience managing multiple single family & multi-family homebuilding projects. Experience managing custom homebuilding projects would be a plus. Computer experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and Outlook are essential.
Job Duties:
Oversee and manage Construction Managers and site superintendents.
Oversee all facets of construction from entitlements, plan development, to post closing issues.
Develop systems and procedures to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
Develop project cost estimates and be able to explain variances when they occur.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors.
Overcome obstacles and work with project team to solve problems.
Ensure job site safety is maintained by all staff.
Ability to understand and problem solve building warranty issues.
Supervise and mentor staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
3+ years of work experience as a project manager for a production homebuilder or related field.
Ability understand the basics of roof, siding and gutter installation
Technical understanding of residential construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices.
Ability to gather information, prepare reports and communicate.
Capable of problem solving and dealing with complex detailed projects.
Preferred: 4-year college degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering or a related field.
