A Leading Manufacturer of Commercial/Industrial Lighting seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Mechanic with 3+ years for general maintenance work & fabrication equipment including electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
Install electrical circuits up to and including 480 volt in accordance with NEC.
Perform basic elevator maintenance and repair.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair industrial air compressors.
Assembles and installs pneumatic valves, pipes fittings and pipes.
Installs and repairs plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be flexible and able to work as needed, this includes OT when necessary
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Able to work 40 hours per week
Ability to work on ladders reaching overhead
Knowledge of the accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance trades
Knowledge of electrical wiring, NEC, electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, water systems, and other equipment and systems
Knowledge of the servicing and maintenance of simple power, heating, and cooling units
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and maintenance trades
Ability to do routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and care for tools and equipment
Ability to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints
Ability to maintain records regarding materials, equipment, and repairs
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3+ years Building Maintenance Mechanic work experience
Electrical background, solid mechanical aptitude, work independently and with others, physically fit (lift/push/pull over 50 pounds) and Bilingual English/Spanish + Plus
