One of the leading manufacturers of steel industry is looking for an inside sales professional with detail minded and good communication skills. The location is near by Chicago Midway Airport and the job operates in a production office environments including offices, warehouse and storerooms. Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls from customers regarding inquiries and orders, and enter into AS400
- Handle, maintain and build lasting relationship with assigned territory accounts
- Follow up with possible leads to obtain additional business
- Enter and issue new purchase orders
- Work with production scheduler to verify and ensure to meet delivery date
- Plan shipments and provide shipping instructions to shipping and QA department
- Manage overall and storing inventory
- Support outside sales and accounting with pricing or invoice issues
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or marketing or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point)
- Inside sales experience in steel or related industry
- Excellent customer service and effective communication skills
