A top Chicago trading firm at the intersection of trading and technology is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer, with Data ETL experience.


In this high visibility role, thee individual will be doing hands-on engineering as well as working with data used directly by traders and quants.


Requirements:

• CS or related degree, Masters preferred


• 4+ years of object oriented programming in Python or Java


• Experience with Linux


• Experience working with ETL workflows/pipelines


• Experience working with data management


• Nice to have: In industry / financial experience


• Attention to quality assurance

Responsibilities:

• Working with technologists tasked with building a proprietary options trading platform

Working with many internal clients/management
Maintaining processes and daily jobs with high uptime requirements

• Working with 100s of gigabytes a day (high data flow), ranging from daily data coming in to a constant flow of tick data


• Role can grow to have a research element for the right person if interested

Three step interview process
