Looking for a great carpenter, capable of completing a job from start to finish. Not someone with just "carpentry skills". Staircases, composite railings etc...among the necessary skill sets required.
Deck contractor in search of a highly-skilled (frame and finish), productive, clean cut, carpenter for custom deck installations, primarily in DuPage County. Could be a fill-in position, if you have some of your own work.
Key attributes- Great skill (finish and framing), reliability, conscientiousness. Minimum of 10 years of quality, in-the-field experience.
You must be autonomous. Have pickup or van. If you are unable to haul pick up material 12'-16' 2 xs from time to time, that would be a non-starter. You must be able to run and complete a job.
This is a 1099 position. No taxes taken out. It's on you. You have all the modern tools to complete a quality job including: Impact driver, miter saw, circular saw, router, belt sander etc. We supply building materials and have a specific finished product.
Ideal person lives in or within 30 minutes of DuPage. Few exceptions.
If you:
Are a great and productive carpenter and would be satisfied building and repairing existing decks. (Other skill sets: roofing, electrical, plumbing are a plus)
Have the ability to work independently.
Are polite but are not overly social with our clients
Have a "normal" appearance (impressions are very important)
Are an honest and honorable individual
Then we can offer you:

Could lead to steady work all year. (interiors in Winter)
Respectful working relationship
