SUMMARY:
Level 1, 2 and 3 Helpdesk duties
Server and Network Operations, Small level Project Management
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Create images for Laptops, Desktops and VMs
• Peripheral devices, including printers, copiers and scanners
• Install telephones (Mitel)
• Support the Microsoft office suite
• Support Active Directory
• Install and support appropriate security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data
• Ensure, virus protection, patches are up to date
• Responsible for tracking problems and resolution
• Use Dell KACE helpdesk for ticket tracking and management of PC’s
• Develops user guides procedures, schedules and compliance related documentation
• System backups, check log files, change tapes
• Maintain equipment inventory
• Review system logs and records daily
• Provide recommendations and input on software/hardware selection
• Additional duties as assigned by Manager
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Telephony equipment VOIP on Mitel
• Solid understanding of Ethernet/LAN/WAN/IP networking software and hardware
• Strong PC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel/Outlook desktop programs
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel to solve network problems
• Must be able to be on call and work long hours if necessary, in case of serious system/network malfunction
• Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills in the English language
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable with multi-tasking
• Excellent follow-through
Education & Experience:
• Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in system/network/security administration desired
• Strong Windows Server experience required
• VMWare experience a plus
• MS PowerShell experience a plus
