If you have questions about the position, you may contact the recruiter for this position ( Brooke.Schoen@kellyservices.com ) however your resume must be received via the “Submit Resume” button included within.Job Title: Lab Technician – 3 rd shiftShift :4 Days per weekMonday-Thursday10 hours per day6pm - 4:30 amSummary :Collecting and distribution of samplesPhysical testing of production samplesDaily calibration of standard lab instrumentsRecording and interpreting test resultsVerifying sufficient inventory of testing suppliesMaintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory environmentMaintains samples of tested product in order to confirm test results when necessaryPerforms light maintenance and calibration on all laboratory equipment.Maintains on-going records of the results of all testing procedures and inputs such data into computer on a daily basisMaintains adequate supplies used for testing procedures and notifies the supervisor of the need to re-order such suppliesContinually compares test results with standards as required to insure that all flour is within specificationJob Requirements :Understands most production processes required in the production of flour and how it would relate to analysis being performedMaintains a neat and clean working area at all times, washing equipment as required and placing equipment in the proper storage areasMaintains an effective working relationship with fellow employeesPerforms duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment and successfully completes all safety certification requirementsMaintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelinesHandles various chemicals in assorted containers in the manner outlined in the manufacturers chemical Material Safety Data SheetInforms supervisor immediately of any hazards, unsafe equipment and/or actsAdditionally reports immediately any accidents, injuries and near misses to supervisorRecommends solutions to correct deficiencies or improve work and operational practicesParticipates actively in trainingReports to work in a condition to be able to perform all dutiesPractices proper personal hygieneFamiliarizes themselves with the hazards in their work area and how to protect themselvesUnderstands that accidents are preventable and that safety is everyone’s responsibilitySkills :-Attention to detail-Excellent written and oral communication skills-Good teamworking skills-Analytical Skills-Time managementEducation :Minimum Associates degree in a relevant scientific subject such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or physics.We invite you to bookmark our Web site and encourage you to review it regularly for new opportunities worldwide: www.kellyservices.com at http://www.kellyservices.com/ .Kelly Services® is a U.S.-based Fortune 500 company.
