job summary:
This is a technical position that requires a wide variety of experience in supporting technology in a complex business environment. The technician will be responsible for a broad variety of support services with virtual or physical machines and software, supporting change requests and projects, and finding areas primed for an automation opportunity.
Must be near Riverwoods IL, New Albany OH, Lake Park UT, or Phoenix AZ
Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00 pm, w/ rotational on call coverage
- Knowledge of application support for O365 and SharePoint online.
- Knowledge of Exchange Admin Center.
- Knowledge of ProofPoint Protection System is preferred.
- Knowledge of JAMF administration
- Knowledge of SCCM administration

responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Supports for Office 365 applications including SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Yammer, Forms, Planner, To Do, and Video.
- Supports Microsoft Exchange administration including management of Groups, Room Resources, Shared Mailboxes, Content Searches, and eLitigation Holds.
- Installs and configures O365 applications
- Supports iPhone and Android devices through Intune and Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP Mobile)
- Email security management using ProofPoint.
- Email routing including email generated by Discover applications.
- Interacts with application vendor(s) for issue resolution and/or technical support.
- Assists and/or facilitates testing phases for applications.
- Identifies, tracks, resolves, responds and raises awareness of complex application and data issues.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation for supported applications (implementation design documents, support activities, etc.).
- Creates, assigns, and manages users with a focus on application security.
- Ensures security among data management and associated processes, including adhering to data retention policies, file systems and data transfers.
- Manage Level 2 ticket queue.
- Support Client-hosted infrastructure servers (limited to restarting services, freeing disk space, rebooting as directed).
- Support batch processes.
- Provides 24x7 on-call rotational support as needed.
Ensures changes follow appropriate release management processes.
Reviews patch and upgrade information and communicates changes.
Ensures maintenance and support agreements are in place with the vendor and licensing is up to date.
Prepares reports as requested.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and understanding of applications.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of IT system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with SCCM management
- Experience managing/administering JAMF
- Knowledge of application support for O365 and SharePoint online.
- Knowledge of Exchange Admin Center.
- Knowledge of ProofPoint Protection System is preferred.
- Experience in PowerShell is desired.
- Experience with vSphere and Nutanix
- Background in scripting or coding is desired.
- Knowledge in mobile device management (iPhone and Android) is preferred.
- strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, processes, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of performance measuring and monitoring of IT systems.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills with good problem solving abilities.
