Job Description

The ITW Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Department is seeking an intern to join the team for the summer of 2022.Responsibilities will include EHSS data analysis and reporting, compiling information for responding to stakeholders, assisting business units with inquiries related to the EHSS data collection and reporting sites, intranet page building, implementation of EHSS improvement initiatives, and Environmental Health Safety audit program follow-up.

Qualifications

The ITW Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Department is seeking an intern with the following characteristics:

• Has completed a minimum of 2 years of college
• Studying an engineering discipline or other field of science
• An interest in environmental issues, specifically climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, energy use reduction, emission controls, contamination and remediation, waste management chemical hazards, employee health & safety, and regulations related to these topics.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficient in use of tools in the MS Office Suite - strong Excel skills are especially important
