Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for a qualified Value Engineering Manager to join our Should Cost team. This is an opportunity to help lead a costing team to help determine true product costs.
Job Description:
The Value Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving a team of tear-down technicians and costing engineers to determine the true product costs. The manager will lead a team that will utilize available material, supplier, and factory cost data to help reduce the cost of products analyzed. The Value Engineering Manager will be expect to do the following:
- Maintain oversight of hours worked and progress made toward the goal based upon the client's provision of a schedule of categories and products.
- Support the assignment of projects and tasks to the Teardown Technicians and Costing Engineers.
- Support project progress tracking and quality control.
- Support the creation of a weekly slide deck to be presented to internal client leadership in order to review project progress.
- Interface directly with an assigned client senior associate (Director or higher) for direction and support.
