Our Direct Clientis searching for a Senior Technology Project Manager to work as part of thier Infrastructure and Operations team out of Hoffman Estates, IL Position Summary: As a key member of the PMO (Infrastructure and Operations), the Senior Technology Project Manager will manage all activities to an assigned portfolio consisting of programs and projects that deliver on the organization's objectives. The Senior Technology Project Manager uses programs and projects to deliver business outcomes, support organizational change, and support improvements in efficiency. The candidate will leverage critical thinking to ensure the work under way continues to support goals and objectives of the project and help develop clarity around business cases for each program and project. It will be necessary for the Senior Technology Project Manager to build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed in a timely fashion. You will have visibility and interaction with senior leadership, which will require precise communication and presentation skills to be successful in this role. In addition, you will provide coaching and mentoring to other project managers, project team members, and interns for adherence to standards, best practices, and internal controls. The successful candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision as well as within a team environment. Position Responsibilities & Essential functions Managing a portfolio of projects and assesses metrics on the overall health of the projects across a set of prescribed metrics (scope, time, cost, etc.) Understanding and utilizing the tools, templates, processes, skills, and behaviors required to ensure adherence with organizational standards and policies Partnering and collaborating with the heads of various functional disciplines (including IT and other BUs,) and project teams to create business cases, ensure robust plans for execution, identify cross-functional dependencies, oversee execution performance, and analyze results to determine if financial and other objectives are met Facilitating phase gates and other project health checks to continually assess project viability throughout the active project life cycle Effectively communicating with senior leadership and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with project management processes such as managing milestones, tasks, and issues Working proactively to escalate and resolve critical issues, and collaborating with business partners in prioritizing work Executing project lessons learned and driving continuous organizational improvement through the sharing of systemic learnings and best practices Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications & Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Project Management or Operations OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years in Project Management or Operations Preferred Attributes and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, MIS, or Management preferred Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams Mastery level knowledge and skills of project management principles and methodologies Experience with managing technology intensive projects Demonstrated leadership and management skills Strategic and tactical planning skills Excellent presentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Agile experience preferred Project Management Professional Certification Operational knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow Certifications & Licenses
