The Dump is in search of a dedicated Assistant Store Manager.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for overall display, placement and pricing of merchandise and display in the store.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for new product flow, tagging and displays; (Haynes only) process discontinued product to maintain current assortment; (The Dump only) maintain reservoir of staged product to replenish the floor as product is sold.
Hire, train, and direct supervise merchandise hourly employees and custodians.
Assist sales staff with merchandising, inventory, and customer issues.
Manage productivity of direct reports, process payroll and attendance management for direct reports.
Timely communication of in-coming and discontinued product to effectively move inventory
Order and maintain stock levels for tagging supplies.
Participate in weekly Ad call.
Process payroll and attendance management for direct reports.
Assign schedules to meet the business needs; provide calendar communication to teams.
Must be flexible with work schedules and be available, as needed, to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, with or without advance notices.
Responsible for housekeeping/physical safety /OSHA compliance in facilities.
Understands and adheres to Company Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policy and Procedures manual
RequirementsSPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS: Must enjoy working with people and work closely with other departments; must be very flexible to change directions easily and quickly; must be able to manage a large staff. Must have a professional demeanor at all times.EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Education: High school diploma
Experience: 2 years supervisory experience
Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills; strong interpersonal skill and knowledge of PC necessary, including word processing and Excel
