RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a clean and valid driver's license. Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading. Load the vehicle with products and foods in manner ensuring goods are properly and securely stowed. Communicate with office. Able to lift 50 to 75 lbs on consistent basis. Able to bend, twist in repetitive fashion and be on feet for several hours. Vehicle check must be done daily and documentation must be completed and submitted daily. Hand in all gas receipts/cards upon getting gas. Must maintain an odometer log daily. Totally responsible for daily cleanings of vehicle. No other passengers allowed in vehicle unless authorized by manager. Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations. Whitsons is not responsible for any traffic violations while you are driving the company vehicle and are on company time. If you receive a traffic violation, you will be responsible for the ticket. Must adhere to all location policies which include but are not limited to: time of delivery, parking, designated delivery areas and designated driving areas. Perform additional duties as assigned. Work School schedule Mon-Fri 7:30am - 2:00 pm . WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed primarily in the central kitchen Standing most of the work day is required. Work requires movement in and out of store rooms, refrigerators and freezers Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES High School diploma A clean driver's license. Must be able to pass background check & drug screening Mandatory fingerprinting screening. Candidate must be able to pay for Fingerprinting. Candidate must have reliable transportation to work. One year of professional driving experience. Must be cautious of bad weather conditions that can make driving hazardous. Must be able to carry and lift objects weighing up to and above 50lbs. Must perform repetitive movement side to side, up and down in safe manner. GENERAL REMINDERS The customer is always right. Always wear proper uniform attire including hat or hairnet in food prep areas. Uniforms should be kept clean and neat at all times. Present a positive image.   • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Organize dish room in such a way as to prevent recontamination of clean dishes and utensils with soiled ones. Fill dish machine with fresh water and detergent at least two times per day. Scrape and rinse all items to be cleaned. Pre-soak all serving utensils prior to rinsing and washing. Check final rinse temperatures daily and record on Form #66. Inspect all clean dishes and eating utensils for stains or food particles. Clean scrap strainers a minimum of 5 times per day. Keep soap dispensing systems full at all times. NEVER run machine without soap. Put away all dishes, utensils and silverware. Empty and clean dish machine. Clean dish dollies and stack all dish racks with dollies. Wash down walls. Wipe and polish all stainless steel in accordance with cleaning schedule. Clean and sanitize the work surfaces and sink before each use. Properly fill 3 compartment sink. Wash, rinse and sanitize all pots and pans. Follow the six steps to pot washing found in operations manual. Sweep and mop kitchen, delivery area, storage areas and servery. Remove all trash to dumpster. Separate cardboard and other recyclables into the appropriate bin. Clean garbage pails weekly. Replace garbage bags often throughout the day. Wash off carts after each use. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Put away deliveries Maintain stock room / walk-ins and other storage areas in an organized and clean manner. Keep cleaning supplies away from food areas. Perform other duties as assigned SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the overall sanitation and organization of the kitchen, storerooms, equipment and serving area.
